Work starts on Thang Long apartment, office complex
Three local firms and one Korean company yesterday commenced work on a 14-story apartment, office and retail building in HCMC capitalized at some US$32 million.
The 7,000-square-meter Thang Long Tower located at 6 Thang Long Street in Tan Binh District will have a total floor area of approximately 49,000 square meters, including 22,000 square meters as offices for lease, 10,000 square meters for retail and entertainment area and the rest for 149 apartments. It also has abasement garage for some 200 vehicles.
The tower, whose completion is expected after 14 months of construction, is a tripartite cooperation project between three companies comprising Dai Ha Tech Corp, Beta Company and A41 Enterprise, contributing a combined 60%, and the Korean-based Vina-Thang Long Co. contributing 40%.
The company will develop the project with technology and materials meeting international standard, said Luu Trong Hai, chairman of Dai Ha Tech Corp. "We believe that the complex will bring prosperity to our partners," he said.
Offices for lease, hi-end apartments and other services are in short supply in the city. Thang Long Tower near Tan Son Nhat International Airport once going online will help meet demand for businesses, he said.
