US firm to build 'Creation City' in Phu Yen
The People's Committee of central Phu Yen Province has permitted the US-based Galileo International Group to develop its US$1.68 billion "Creation City" project.
The committee urged Galileo to complete the research and planning phase of the project to be submitted to the Government for approval in 2009.
The project will include a modem city, a distance university training facility, a trading area and a film studio. The project is slated for completion in 2035 with an estimated total investment capital of $11.4 billion. The TGEC plans to break ground on the project's first phase in the fourth quarter of this year; it anticipates completion between 2014 and 2015.
