The bridges are not only iconic structures for countries which help traffic navigation over physical obstacles especially body of water, but also true works of art in themselves, not just modes of getting from Point A to B. Conscious planning and architectural aesthetic effort have resulted in beautiful bridges as we can see nowadays. Here are famous bridges around the world in pretty scenic views.

The Tower Bridge stoods over the River Thames in London and is one of the world’s most recognisable bridges in the world. It is now one of London’s best loved landmark.

Westminster Bridge is a road and foot traffic bridge over the River Thames between Westminger and Lambeth. The clock tower on the far right is popularly called the ‘Big Ben’ and is another important landmark in London.

The Bosphorus Bridge is a bridge in Istanbul, Turkey spanning the Bosphorus strait. The bridge is located between Ortaköy (European side) and Beylerbeyi (Asian side). On July 17, 2005, British Formula One driver David Coulthard drove his Red Bull racing car on the bridge first from the European side to the Asian side, and then turning with a spectacular powerslide at the toll plaza back to the European side for show.

The Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States. At the time it opened, it was the longest suspension bridge in the world — fifty percent longer than any previously built — and has become a treasured landmark.

The San-Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge is a toll bridge which spans the San Francisco Bay and links the Californian cities of Oakland and San Francisco in the United States.

The Nanpu Bridge is located at the South Dock in Shanghai, China. Nanpu bridge is the first bridge on the Huangpu River. Tourists can take the elevator to get to the sidewalk of the bridge and overlook the scenery on both banks of the Huangpu River.
